Tobi Leanna Schneider is now retired from the practice of law. She began practicing as an attorney in 1977. She opened her own law practice at Schneider & Brewer's current location on Silver Street in Waterville in 1982. Tobi operated a general civil practice of law that focused on all aspects of the family: Adoptions, Child Support, Parental Rights, Parent Child Contact, Divorce, Post-Divorce Matters, Grandparents' Rights, and Guardian Ad Litem. She worked closely with each client to give them the individual service and attention they should expect and deserve. The attorneys at Schneider & Brewer continue her legacy by providing dedicated, caring, individualized service to their clients.

Tobi Schneider is the past Chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association and the past vice chair of that section for 1998-1999. She was the Maine reporter on family law in Maine for the Family Law Quarterly Publication for 1997 and 1998. Tobi Schneider is a past member of the Advisory Committee on the Code of Professional Responsibility. Tobi Schneider is a past president of the Waterville Bar Association and was a member of the Waterville, Kennebec County, Maine State and American Bar Associations. She was also a Fellow of the Maine Bar Foundation.

Tobi is a past President of Hardy Girls, Healthy Women, a nonprofit based in Waterville. She is a past President of the General Advisory Council at KVCC and was a Trustee of the KVCC Foundation. She served on the Board of Directors of MaineGeneral Hospital and is a past Board member of Hospice Volunteers of Waterville area and is a former member of the State Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters of Maine. Tobi Schneider is a past president of the Greater Waterville Area YMCA and past second vice president of the Maine Youth Alliance, (a collaboration of the YMCA and Boys/Girls Club to build the 9 million dollar Harold and Bibby Alfond Youth Recreation Facility, serving the youth and families of the Greater Waterville Area). She is also a past president of the Waterville Contemporary Club, a branch of the Waterville Women's Club; a past member of the American Association of the University Women; and Hadassah. Tobi Schneider currently divides her time between Florida and Maine.
